Today we had class with Dr. Macdonald. It was three hours long, but they were three hours well spent.
It’s Ascension Day, so most shops we’re closed. Sadly, so was Back Factory, so we ate at Burger King. I had no idea what Ascension Day was, so I’m guessing neither do you. Enlightenment below:

The name ‘ascension’ comes from the accounts in the Bible in Mark’s Gospel and Luke’s Gospel that tell of Jesus being taken up into heaven - he ascended.”
I’m not sure how widespread the celebrations are, and certainly they vary by city and country. But, I’m guessing it’s because Erfurt is distinctly Lutheran.
Oh and we went to the monastery where Luther studied. We had a German-speaking tour guide, but we caught the important things, I think.
