imperial
I wasn’t that thrilled to travel to the European Union. I thought we’d walk around a building, and not learn anything that profound. Instead, I was ushered into a room like the one that holds the Imperial Senate in Star Wars, and listened to thirty odd people make their cases about human rights interests. Since it was the last day for their term, the proceedings got a little emotional. I remember one guy named Matsakis who declared the British Empire disgusting, and their hold on Cyprus a farce. He was feisty, and I loved him. Another man, from Britain, deemed his superior unworthy of his position; almost everyone clapped.
Though I wasn’t sure what exactly was going on the whole time, I witnessed some pretty powerful people go about their business. I’m really glad we came here.
